04.09.2009 - Final Report of the EuroTour 2009 and Stages of the EuroTour 2010
Helmuth Köcher, president of Gourmet’s International and organiser of the EuroTour, said at the end of the EuroTour 2009: „I am very happy with the results of the EuroTour 2009. The stages in Munich and Vienna have once again confirmed that there is a lot of interest in first class oenogastronomic products from Italy. The stages in Moscow and the Baltic States can also be classed as successful as the trade visitors clearly showed an interest and willingness to deepen their knowledge of our quality products.“
The various stages of the EuroTour 2009 can be classed as positive which is reflected in the high number of visitors, approximately 900 in Munich, 600 in Vienna, 1.046 in Moscow, 245 in Vilnius, 383 in Riga and 214 in Tallinn. The visitors included experts from the food and wine branch, such as importers, wholesalers, retail agents, wine bars, delicatessens, restaurants, hotels and catering services, as well as numerous press representatives, VIPs, passionate gourmets and interested private people.
Thanks to the collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Munich, the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Austria, the Italian Embassy in Moscow as well as the patronage of the city of Moscow, the collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn and with the ICE-, the Italian Trade Commission offices in Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn it was possible to promote the stages of the EuroTour in each country through advertising in the local media and through personal invitations to various local experts.
The partnership with the Region of Campania and the collaboration with Mistery Apple Communication were of great importance for the promotion of the oenological and gastronomic products from Campania in Europe and for the EuroTour 2009. The show cooking and the tasting of the delicious first class products from Campania were a great success.
Things should continue in 2010 in the same way whereby great importance should be made to enhance already existing partnerships and collaborations. The idea to host two day stages in two cities of a country was considered to be a good idea.
The calendar for Gourmet’s International EuroTour 2010 includes the following dates and cities:
