EuroTour 2009 in Naples 

 

14.04.2009 - EuroTour 2009: Press Conference in Naples on 21.04.2009

The press conference for the presentation of the EuroTour 2009 of Gourmet’s International from Meran takes place on Tuesday 21st April 2009, at 11 o’clock in Naples in the Saal Rari of the National Library “Vittorio Emanuele III” in Palazzo Reale at the Piazza del Plebiscito.

The EuroTour promotes the Merano International WineFestival & Culinaria with its specially chosen Italian oenogastronomic quality products in other countries.

Following stops have been chosen this year: Munich on 26th and 27th April in the Künstlerhaus in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Munich; Vienna on 11th May in the Palais Niederösterreich in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Austria; Moscow on 21st and 22nd June in the Italian Embassy and in the Historical Museum in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce.
New destinations include the Baltic States (Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn) from 15th to 19th July in well known hotels in collaboration with the Italian Embassy and finally in Kiev - probably on 4th and 5th September in collaboration with the consulate general of the Ukraine in Naples.

The Region Campania is partner of the EuroTour 2009 for all five destinations with 20 wine producers and culinary product producers, guided wine tasting from autochthon wines using Falanghina and Aglianico grape varieties, show cooking with star chefs using typical products from the area such as mozzarella, buffalo meat, sausages made from black pigs from Caserta, Neapolitan pastries, olive oil and Melannurca apples.

The press conference will be opened by the director of the library Mauro Giancaspro; afterwards the president of the Merano WineFestival & Gourmet Helmuth Köcher, the regional agricultural assessor Andrea Cozzolino, the president of Agripromos Pietro Micillo, the manager for Region Campania’s food development and promotion Luciano D’Aponte, the chef Lino Scarallo and the journalist Dante Stefano Del Vecchio will present their talks.
