19.05.2009 - EuroTour 2009: Third Stage on 22nd and 23rd June in Moscow
The third stage of the EuroTour organised by Gourmet’s International in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Moscow and in partnership with the Region Calabria takes place in Moscow on 22nd and 23rd June 2009.
The elite event presents the high quality of the Italian oenogastronomy chosen by the Merano WineFestival & Gourmet for the trade and gourmets in two special places. 42 producers will present their produce and offer it for tasting. The regions of Campania with more than 20 producers, Trentino South Tyrol, Piedmont, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Tuscany and Abbruzzo are all represented.
On Monday 22nd June 2009 from 2 – 6 pm the Italian Embassy in Moscow (Denezhnij Pereulok 5) will be host to the producers. The Italian Embassy is situated in the historical part of the capital where history is still present. The Villa Berg radiates a composition of the various types of Moscow architecture from many historical periods. The impressive presentation hall was put at Helmuth Köcher’s disposal by the Ambassador Vittorio Claudio Surdo for the Gourmet’s Italia Moscow 2008 event.
On Tuesday 23rd June 2009 from 3 – 8 pm the presentation and tasting of the wines and culinary specialities will take place in the Historical Museums at the Red Square 1 (Krasnaya Ploshchad 1). The Historical Museum is situated in a strategic position on the Red Square which, in the past, has been the scene of many historical events and military parades. The beautifully decorated halls accommodate invaluable amount of treasures from various periods in history in this unique country.
The Region Campania is protagonist for a unique show cooking of Italian cuisine. The Italian head chef Enrico Derflingher, born in Lecco, possesses experience that he has collected in the best world wide restaurants of haute cuisine. At present he runs the Restaurant Armani Ginza Tower in Tokyo. He will create exquisite pasta dishes, a Neapolitan dessert as well as dishes with buffalo mozzarella, olive oil and buffalo meat. Helmuth Köcher and Dante Stefano Del Vecchio will guide through the wine tasting.
