15.09.2009 Exclusive Presentation Merano WineFestival & Gourmet 2009
The programme of the Exclusive Presentation of the Merano WineFestival & Gourmet is once again fully packed. The 7 Exclusive Presentations take place during October in Rome, Naples, Milan, Verona, Venice and Meran, with the exception of the last event in Meran which will take place at the beginning of November.
These Exclusive Presentations are Anteprima Events to present the programme of the Merano WineFestival & Gourmet, which takes place from 31st October to 9th November 2009 in Meran. The presentations take place in high class locations and include a press conference, a drink and a themed dinner to show the high quality of the festival.
The first presentation takes place on 2nd October at 12 o’clock in Rome at the seat of the International Wine Academy of Rome at Piazza di Spagna. It includes an introduction with Ian D’Agata, a press conference with the president of Gourmet’s International, Helmuth Köcher, and afterwards a drink in the garden. The Event is fort he press, invited guests and chosen producers from the Region Latium who took part in the Merano International WineFestival & Culinaria 2009.
In the afternoon of 2nd October the second presentation takes place in Naples in the Biblioteca Nazionale “Vittorio Emanuele III” in Palazzo Reale at 4.30 pm. In the Piazza del Plebiscito 1 at 4.30 pm. Helmuth Köcher will open the press conference, and afterwards reports from the Director of the library, Mauro Giancaspro, the representative of the Region Campania and Mistery Apple Communication are on the programme. Together with chosen producers from the Merano International WineFestival & Culinaria 2009 there will be a wine tasting and culinary specialities from Campania on the terrace. The event is open to everyone.
On Wednesday 7th October from 7 pm the third presentation will take place in the ambience of the Nhow Suite in the Milan Nhow Hotel in the via Tortona 35. Press representatives and invited guests can take part in the press conference for the Merano WineFestival & Gourmet 2009 and the contributions of the partners Carlo Vischi and Chiara Mojana. Afterwards there is a themed dinner with the title “Davide Castoldi invites Mimmo Di Raffaele to his kitchen”. Fresh culinary creations from Campania served with first class wines of the region.
The next presentation takes place on Monday 12th October from 2.30 to 8.30 pm in the beautiful Villa Quaranta in Ospedaletto di Settimo di Pescantina (Verona). Producers chosen for the 18th Merano International WineFestival & Culinaria will be presenting their produce to people of the trade and all interested people for tasting (entrance 10 €). Invited guests and registered press representatives can attend the press conference conducted by the president Helmuth Köcher. Dinner in Restaurant Borgo Antico can be booked at a cost of 36 €, wine not included.
On Wednesday 14th October at 9.30 am Venice is on the programme. The legendary Orient-Express will take us from Santa Lucia to Bozen. The lagoons of Venice and the elegant interior of the Orient Express make an impressive frame to present the exclusive Merano WineFestival & Gourmet. The exquisite lunch is accompanied by wines from the producers Capannelle from Gaiole in Chianti. The train, which continues on to London, will stop in Bozen to let the privileged participants of the presentation get out. The event is reserved for press representatives and invited guests.
On Wednesday 21st October we return to Meran, to the cosy cellar of Festival, Bistro winebar & more in the Pfarrgasse 2/A in Untermais. At 11 am the programme of the Merano WineFestival & Gourmet and the events GourmetHotelCollection, Locande del Gusto and Merano Wine & Jazz from 31st October to 4th November 2009 will be presented. Light refreshments with South Tyrolean wines and specialities will be served afterwards.
The finale of the Exclusive Presentations is on 3rd November at 11 am in the idyllic rooms of Bistro Festival in the Pfarrgasse 2/A in Meran. The president and organiser Helmuth Köcher will present the detailed programme of the 18th Merano International WineFestival & Culinaria. A buffet of local specialities will start of the festival.
