15.04.2009 - MERAN WINEFESTIVAL & GOURMET OPENS Festival: “ITS“ CHOSEN BISTRO, WINEBAR & MORE
The Meran WineFestival & Gourmet will open Festival, the brand new and innovative bistro, wine bar & more on Friday 8th May 2009 in Kimm (Kultur In Mais Meran) in Angerheim in the Pfarrgasse 2/A in Meran, and will celebrate wine and typical delicacies for 300 days a year.
In the impressive cellar of the historical manor Angerheim, which dates back to the 13th century, an elegant ambience is being created that takes you back in time and allows you to enjoy wines and gastronomic delicacies within the 800 year old walls.
The furnishings are special, and impress with a bar counter in the colours of the Meran WineFestival & Culinaria, Moroccan artex, a red glass chandelier from Murano and a stone fountain in which water turns to wine.
The head chef of Festival is Alexander Barletta, a young, imaginative and talented man who will impress the guests with traditional South Tyrolean specialities, and Italian dishes with Asian influence.
A passionate wine lover and gourmet will look after the cellar and the special offers of the day, Helmuth Köcher in person, President of the Meran WineFestival & Gourmet.
The philosophy of Festival wants to promote products with guaranteed origin and quality.
In Festival you will find a continual choice of special wines and Tapas dishes. A pure cuisine built on a bio light cuisine where the preparation of the products is in line with the most important nutritional principles. And this, in optimal price/performance ratio.
Every month a different region of Italy will be presented, in order to get to know the aromas and tastes of that region. Producers of each region will be invited and will be accompanied by live music.
The Festival will be the first in Italy to present one of the most important international oenogastronomic events for 300 days a year.
