Helmuth Köcher was invited as special guest to a social evening at the Expo Mittelschool in Trieste on 18th Mai 2009.
The Expo Mittelschool in Trieste is a training post for a taste in careers and a trial institution for the promotion of the typical culture, quality and style, a place to taste and evaluate provincial and regional products.
Helmuth Köcher is considered to be the Guru fron Meran in the oenogastronomical world and as Patron of the Merano WineFestival & Gourmet, a true pearl in the oenological and culinary department.
Helmuth Köcher presented not only the 18th Merano International WineFestival & Culiaria 2009 fromGourmet’s International but also the newly opened Festival, Bistro winebar & more in Meran, an ideal meeting point for pleasurable hours.
Prominent guests such as Riccardo Illy, Rossana Illy, Edi Kante, Marjan Simčič, Anna Tuti from the Aquila d’Oro in Dolegna del Collio, Barbara from the Castello di Spessa or Mario Picozzi joined in the celebration and tasted extraordinary wines such as the sparkling wine KK from Edi Kante, Sauvignon Blanc from Marjan Simčič, the Charmats from Piera Martellozzo, Puro from Movia in the large variety and finally a Brunello di Montalcino from Mastroianni.
The Slovakian chef Tomaž Kavčič from Castello di Zemono in Vipaca Valley impressed with his explosive-activated cuisine by offering a luiquid margarita pizza, a glass of creamed asparagus, a roll with fois gras, a fried beef roulade with a crunchy soup, soup in a bottle, stinging nettle pasta parcels with nuts and sweets, all of which was presented on the beach with sand, sea water and Mojito.
Super Zippodj rounded of the evening with such good music that at the end people were even dancing on the tables!
