From 31st October to 9th November 2009 Meran is dedicated to quality and exclusivity on the occasion of the Merano WineFestival & Gourmet, whereby the festival directs its attention mainly to our wonderful country Italy but also offers international flair.
The Merano WineFestival & Gourmet not only presents excellent hotels, residences and fine dinning guesthouses where dreams come true, but also restaurants and head chefs who prepare dream dishes. And last but not least the godly Ambrosia ... the numerous culinary and oenological products that don’t make you immortal, but awaken memories in many trade experts and gourmets as they taste them.
The town of Meran will turn into the capital of good life, good food and good wine and needs the help of partners and the collaboration of many to give the event a more exclusive and exquisite flair.
Collaboration with the Gärten von Schloss Trauttmansdorff, which were awarded the “Best Botanical Gardens in Italy” award in 2005. Scheduled is a visit to the gardens with a guided tour to the „Versoaln”-Rebe, the largest and world’s oldest vine at Schloss Katzenzungen with following wine tasting.
Partnership with the company Figulì from Villorba di Treviso, who will be present at the Culinaria with their Foglie di Visnadello, very light, thin crackers available in the flavours classical, with sesame seeds, oregano or chilli which will delight the palate.
Media partnership with Touring Editore and ViniBuoni d’Italia, who will present their Wine Guide 2010 dedicated to autotochthon wines in the morning of 7.11. in the Stadttheater Puccini and 216 excellent wines will be presented with the so called “Corone”.
